When I was a child, I believed “Die Seekuh” (translated eng.: The Sea Cow) was a creature living somewhere beneath the surface of Lake Constance. I imagined it slow and curious, drifting through the water with quiet purpose. Only years later did I learn that the Sea Cow wasn’t an animal at all, but a mowing boat that keeps the lake clean; a small, human invention with a strangely affectionate name.
That discovery stayed with me - how imagination can turn the ordinary into something mythical. The book grew out of that feeling. It is a story about curiosity, care, and the connection between what we dream and what we do.
